Brown Basmati Rice

It tastes very good. The only problem I have is that it doesn't sprout when I soak it in water for 3 days. I tried even more as a test. My research on that points to 2 probable reasons which is most probably the rice is too old to sprout, or maybe it was dried with a heater rather than sun dried. But the back of this package says that the rice is aged to develop the flavor and aroma, but I wonder how long it is aged for. So I guess that the sprouting issue is normal for aged basmati rice. Still I need to find another rice I can sprout. Otherwise this is a very good rice.
