I used Maverick belts on all three of these knives. They seem to work really well. The steel is 8670 from Pops. I will buy again.

The sanding belts were great. Just as advertised. The butt joints run nice and smooth. When I bought my belt grinder it came with two lap joint belts and they run rough. They go bumpity bump instead of being smooth. The Maverick belts with the butt joints are a bit more expensive but well worth the little extra cost. Will buy again. Jerry
