Great Book

This is a big book! I have not gotten very far, but I really like it so far, high quality product. I'm not very familiar with JRPGs and this feels like a wonderful introduction and overview

Niche yet familiar

While it may seem a subset of the genre, it's in fact pivotal. Growing up in the 8-bit environment, you will find many familiar friends outlined in detail in this great book. Physically, amazing quality. Plenty of history and details abound. Highly recommended!

Beautifully bound collection of retro history

As with all the books released by Bitmap, the quality is what stands out the most. This huge collection with over 500 pages of beautiful art and history that covers up to the PS4/XB1/NSW generation of Japanese RPGs is a must-buy for all who grew up playing JRPGs and fell in love with the genre. The effort that went into collecting all the articles is clearly visible as you read through the book page by page. Loved looking back fondly at the games I played, and learning about games I had never heard of before. A nice nostalgic read.
