This scent is incredible. After sniffing a couple of perfume oils at a store last summer, and not getting a headache, I kept thinking back to them, and recently decided to aquatint myself with Maison Louis fragrances. During the Black Friday sale, I got two of the build your own sets (six fragrances total). I tried one a day. Many were very pleasant, and there was only one I actually did not like (Bois de Balincourt). Bousval, however, stood out as absolutely amazing. An overall warm spice dominates at first, then in the dry down, the spice falls off considerably, and what is left is this soft warm slightly sweet, but not saccharine, smell. It reminds me of the sweet smell of warm pine needles, though it definitely is not that smell. For me it evokes vegetation, both living and dead, that as warmed up in the sun. Not being well versed in the language of fragrance, and I am having a difficult time describing it. It is an emotional experience, like a painting, a beautiful garden, or a piece of music. I used the store locator, and found a local shop where I bought the full sized bottle. I hope this scent is never altered and always available. I'm hooked.
