Sure-Seal Hatches - Locking

Concerned.

I purchased 3 Sure-Seal Hatches – Locking from T-H Marine for a Panga style boat that I’m rebuilding. I purchased one 13 x 17 Hatch, and two 13 x 30 Hatches. One of the 13 x 30 Hatches arrived with the corner snapped off. It doesn’t appear that it will affect the seal of the Hatch; however, the gap between the Hatch door and the frame (while closed) concerns me. We are about to enter rainy season where the boat is kept, and I’m mounting these Hatches in the vertical position, so these seals are going to get tested with a lot of rain by the end of October. I’m concerned they are going to leak given the gap between the door & frame.

I bought two hatches, the 11x15 and the 13x17. The hatches are good, but a warning for using the cutout template printed on the box interior. The 11x15 is good (~9"x13" opening), but the 13x17 template only measures 10.5"x14.5" leaving it short of the needed opening at 10.5"x15.25".Bought two hatches, the 11x15 and the 13x17.
