How I use the Transparent Writeyboard
I often go canoeing alone on a nearby lake. I wanted a dry-erase board on which I could draw my planned route, on top of a permanent map of the lake. (I was surprised to learn that, on a dry-erase board, dry-erase markers will erase lines made by "permanent" markers). So, I made a map of the lake on a conventional dry-erase board, then covered it with a transparent Writeyboard sheet. Now I draw my planned route, take a photo & text it to Wife. If I don't make it back, she knows where to send the Rescue team. When I get back safely, I erase the route, and the map is ready for next time. Two criticisms: It's hard to order the transparent Writeyboard on-line; I had to e-mail Bruce to get the correct product. Why? Also, it's much harder to lay the Writeyboard down, and flatten/rub-out the bubbles which form, than it looks in the video. (Maybe it's because I had my map flat on the table, instead of hanging vertically on the wall). Overall, I am pleased with the product. But still would prefer a conventional dry-erase board for most things, if that is a practical option. Service/mailing was very courteous & prompt.

I absolutely love my new Writey Board. My hisband sanded down the chalkboard surface to a satin finish and used his skills as a boat mechanic who adheres plastics to boats to make my board beautiful!
