Wanting a crotch strap otherwise great PFD

We used this on one multi-day raft trip so far. We borrowed a different brand jacket and didn’t like it, so I wanted to get this one out on a trip before I reviewed. We do a lot of whitewater recreation (raft, kayak, SUP) and must have good PFDs that are comfortable to wear. Our little one is transitioning from the infant to the youth size jacket at 50 lbs. Quality and design seem great; we love the colors. I also like that they have a little webbing tab next to the zipper at the bottom that helps when pulling the sides together to zip up. however this size at 50 lbs seems little large but has room for our kid to grow. I suggest to Stohlquist, a removable crotch strap on the smaller life jacket would be beneficial and we may end up putting one on ourself. If it had a crotch strap I’d likely give it 5 stars. Without the strap, our little one on the smaller end of rec weight would likely slip out of the jacket in very turbulent water. Note that I didn’t see a life jacket in this size with a crotch strap on any brand, but this is a safety issue. Our little one gave it a yes I like it. So we are on our way to a bigger PFD. She also likes the pockets in front because what little kid doesn’t like a pocket to put their treasures in.
