Enabling Apple CarPlay and SLI

I purchased two packages for my G31 from 2017, activation of Apple CarPlay and Speed Limit Information. The first package was easily installed by myself using the files provided by Bimmer-Remote. Initially I thought I had problems since CarPlay did not show up after rebooting the display by long pressing the volume button. However, when starting the car after it been locked for 30 minutes CarPlay was there! Good to know is that split screen so no longer work in the BMW’s original navigator. The SLI activation was done remote by Bimmer-Remote and was for me as a by-stander a bit more “scary” du to all the error messages thrown by the car during the process. However, the service tech guy’s good communicated over WhatsApp kept me calm and after roughly an hour the car was updated and no error messages could be found and SLI seams to be working fine. Checking with ISTA+ I can also see both functions “properly” registered in the cars option list. What now remains to see is what happens with them when I visit a BMW workshop. I am VERY satisfied with the work done by Bimmer-Remote. Especially happy with their good and responsive communication.
