There is a tendency to tacitly accept the culturally nationalist assumption that Czech music is best played and conducted by Czech musicians. There are many great examples of this, of course, but, nonetheless, it stubbornly remains the case that one of the greatest Dvorak performances ever captured is the present recording, with an American pick-up orchestra led by a German. The sound is a distinct improvement over its CD incarnation. Essential stuff.

Great Sound

I purchased this DSD256 download to test my new Sony Black 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player - UBP-X800. My OPPO player would only handle DSD64 files. This played perfectly on the Sony player, which costs only $300. I also found out this morning that the player plays some non-region 0 DVDs, as I tested it with a Japanese DVD. I was very pleased with the sound of the Dvorak. I have several disc copies of this performance including DSD remastering (but still 16bit/44.1 kHz CD) from Japan. This download is the best sound I have heard.
