We (my spouse and I) both wear hearing aids and glasses and I love to wear my earrings, and I no longer fear losing the hearing aids and earrings. I first got the around the ears your mask for their lovely or interesting fabrics. Then I found that I can breathe more comfortably. And they are easy to pull down under my chin when I don't need them.
