Used two each on a pair of oversize pictures of about 30lbs each. Just needed a small pilot hole for each screw...a bit of Locktite on the screw (there were going into a pine frame)..and they are as secure as can be. The hangers are not long, but very solid metal--far better than the flimsy selections at the big hardware stores.
