Very helpful product but could be better with a few design improvements.
The vest and cooling packs do the job. They have been helpful keeping me cool, however there is room for improvement in the next generation of this product. After using them several times I was hoping they would be colder and stay colder for longer periods of time after taking them out of freezer and wearing. They do indeed stay cool for a while but just not cold enough for my needs. I work in a very warm environment and this set up only keeps me cold for about an hour or so, and it is a real pain stopping what I'm doing to go to the freezer and change out all 12 packs. For the high price you should get 2 vest and extra packs so you don't have to change the packs out every time (More about this in a minute). I'm thinking maybe you should experiment with hybrid packs that have a combination of different layers of cooling material that keep the internal temp closer to freezing for longer durations after taking them out of the freezer and wearing them. Maybe an internal ice layer under the material you use? Also, the vest material appearance and build isn't nearly as nice in person as it looks in the photo. The material is extremely elastic and flimsy, and looks as though it will get stretched out and tear at some point in the future from the weight of the cooling packs pulling down on it. But the biggest problem with this product is that the 12 pockets don't keep the cooling packs secure. THEY FALL OUT ALL THE TIME! A simple solution to this would be to have a velcro pocket flap to secure them in place similar to cargo shorts pockets. For convenience and time management, I have to very carefully fold the entire vest with cooling packs installed, so that when I need it, I can just take it out of the freezer, unfold it and put it on. But it is tricky to do this with out packs falling out! I went to Costco today to buy a $20 vest made by Weatherproof to experiment. It only has 3 pockets, one in the chest and 2 for the hands, but it looks much nicer, and has more structural integrity. I might take it to a seamstress to sow in more pockets and us it instead. This product could be very helpful to anyone with MS or any other heat sensitivity if they are patient to make it work for them. The person I talked to was very nice and very helpful in getting this to me, but when I wrote an email to them with these complaints I never heard back from them, I will only buy another one if they make these minor improvements I've suggested.

Caution: Different Packs for Small Vest from 2019-2020
Love my Flex Vest. Decided to get another set, with the climate only getting worse. Unfortunately when I got my set in the mail, I found that the packs were bigger than the ones I previously had, and wouldn't fit my vest. I emailed Glacier Tek Saturday and Monday morning before 8:30 am PT, I got a response from a rep (Zack). He was quick to respond to my emails and identify my problem, which was that the small and extra small flex vests made in 2019 and 2020 used a smaller pack size that is no longer being sold on the website. He let me know that he would manually place an order for them and send a pre-paid shipping label to return the non-fitting packs. The replacement order was processed that same morning at 10 am and I received the replacement on Thursday. The rep also said to email Glacier Tek directly in the future if I need more packs for my vest, and they can special order them. I do think this information should be included in the fine print on the product page, however the support I received was more than adequate. Tl;dr: The packs for the Small Flex Vest from 2019 and 2020 are no longer sold online, but can be ordered by contacting Glacier Tek directly. This information doesn't seem to be on display anywhere online, but Glacier Tek support was quick to fix the problem.

A Life-saving Product!
The glacier tech vest and ice packs have been a life-saving product for my 17-year-old son, who developed a severe automune condition this past year related to his core temperature becoming too warm. He uses the vest daily to maintain a constant core temperature. It’s important to use the ice packs that come with the product - we attempted to use some cheaper blue ice packs for a while, and they unfortunately gave him a touch of frostbite. Thank you for a well-made and life-saving product!
