Cuisinier Hand-Forged Damascus Steel 8" Chef Knife - Walnut

Good looking, just not for me.

I work in the restaurant biz, so I’ve owned a lot of different knives. I saw the price and style of this one and thought I’d give it a go. The packaging was great! It came in a nice wooden box with a coin keepsake. The knife is gorgeous. As soon as I picked it up tho, the handle was too narrow for me. Something you’d usually find on a pocket knife or something of the sort. I took it for a test drive and it came sharp! It just didn’t have a wide enough handle for my personal tastes. Too hard to stabilize and get straight cuts. It might be perfect for a home chef or what have you, but not someone that’s gonna spend hundreds of hours behind the knife. I’ll definitely keep it as a show piece to use occasionally when guests are over, but I won’t be taking this to work as my everyday carry.
