Müsing C-Series Carbon Fiber Cello Bow

The bow is very balanced and very nice. I wish it was packaged better than it was. It came in a triangular box with one strip of packing paper but the bow was free to bounce around it the box.

I elected to try Fiddlershops bow trial program. I am an intermediate cello player and needed a carbon fiber bow. I do not play professionally, nor will I. I play purely because I enjoy the love of the instrument. The trial process was very easy, establish an account, pay small shipping fee and two bows arrived in a shipping tube. I elected to try Koda diamond nx and a Musing C2. Unfortunately the C2 was out of stock so a C3 was shipped. Both arrived without incident and a blind test was conducted. My wife is a musician and was easily able to tighten and rosin both bows and hand them individually to me. The difference was stark. The Musing bow was elegant, it just handled and performed so well. The sound quality, feel and balance was very nice. I was not expecting an ultra high end bow at this price range but was pleasantly surprised at the quality and playability. Unfortunately I could not say the same for the diamond nx. Just the complete opposite. I was disappointed. So I did the same test my wife did but with my cello teacher. Blinded and he had no previous information on my insight or even which two bows I was comparing. Took about 1 min and we came to the same conclusion. Not much of a comparison. I will stay with Musing and Arcus in the future. I realize carbon fiber is not for everyone however my life and cello live on a catamaran in a marine environment . I would need to replace my wooden instruments yearly. Fiddlershop was excellent to work with. Charlie was knowledgeable and made the process easy. I bought a Musing cello bow

I really appreciate how easy and enjoyable my Fiddlershop experience was. I ordered a Musing cello bow. It arrived very quickly. When the bow came, it was packed beautifully and securely.
