BETTER THAN U TUBE
Understanding and programming the Allen-Heath Qu mixer is the goal of this video. The video claims to do this and for me it was what I needed to get up and running but it still required a lot of experimentation and many hours of thought and reading the manual before it actually happened. David is easy to listen to and explains things quite well. However I was hoping that he would actually explain, step by step, how to setup a few microphones including all the goodies, ie Fx, and so on for each. Then, line in for bass, guitar, piano, and drums, and finally how to setup the individual monitors for each player and then a sub or two and the main speakers. The step by step for each, beginning to end .He did start out like gangbusters but fell short of accomplishing exactly that and that was what I was hoping for. I do think it was easily worth the money because the Manual and Youtube videos were endless but nowhere could I find a strait forward step by step showing the setup explaining and this.

The Manual
I have over 50 years of experience with sound boards - analog sound boards. So the concepts of live FOH mixing are neither new nor foreign to me. However, the church's Allen & Heath QU-32 is digital. And it is a marvelous board except for one thing. The manual that comes with it is, on a good day, pathetic. Trying to figure out how each system worked and worked in concert with the other systems is anything but intuitive. Then along came David. He walked through all of the details with amazing clarity. There is still a lot of information to digest but this was, without a doubt, the best $30 that I have ever spent for anything sound related. Great job.

Allen and Heath Qu Series Video Tutorial
This Video Tutorial has helped me understand the processing of sound from the microphones through the mixer board. It has helped me understand how the reverb and delay functions work on individual channels and much more. It has encouraged me to look at some of the other courses to enhance my skills in other areas of sound amplification, especially in the EQ area. I would recommend this course for anyone getting a QU mixer board.
