Big Box of Mostly Sticks

This is our first attempt with alfalfa hay. There are a lot of long sticks in this order. Is that normal? Our buns don't like the sticks, but they eat the more grassy parts.

My megacolon bunny needs a small amount of alfalfa added to her timothy to get her to eat it and to help her maintain weight. She loves this! And I think it smells divine, too!
