The quarter height is perfect for keeping critters off you ankles while foraging through the tall stuff. My feet are happy!

The socks are exactly what I wanted. Good for warmer weather. Like all Darn Tough socks I've had, they are the best fitting and longest lasting by far. I am reluctant to take advantage of the Lifetime warranty because socks should wear out. However, in the rare occasions where it seemed that failure was possibly a flaw in the material that caused premature problems, Darn tough has been great at issuing replacements.
