In the last two months I have become enamored with Flat Caps and have bought several, including two others from Skellig. I already had a blue plaid Kerry cap in large. I bought the Kerry style specifically for the expandable elastic on the sides of the head band. I don’t understand why all these caps aren’t made of a Lycra blend like everything else is these days so you can get a perfect fit. But I digress. So I bought the blue in large but it is slightly loose on me. Turns out that my 58 cm head size is between sizes. So I bought the black in medium. The black Kerry is a comfortably snug fit because of the elastic on the sides. I think with time it will stretch out a smidge and be perfect. But this black color appears to me to have a defect and Skellig customer service will not answer my inquiries. The black middle panel seems to be a different batch of black material and is noticeably a deeper, blacker black.
