Yankee Doodle Lilac

Happy plant in the heat

So they came as little saplings but they are doing well in sandy soil and lots of sun. I’ve been watering every other day and they are slowly growing in size. They have demonstrated I don’t need to be terribly worried about rushing home on a hot day - central VA in the Piedmont, sturdy plants.

Planted per instructions

Healthy plant. Placed with other lilacs for color bursts in spring.

I got the plant at the end of my growing season. Hope it grows next season
