In the 1970s I attended several Jack Hyle's Pastor's Schools, was privileged to hear Dr. John R. Rice preach several times, watched as Dr. Hyles presented him with a diamond ring for his outstanding service to the kingdom, and was introduced to "Soul Stirring Hymns." So I ordered enough copies for our church worship services, and even today folks from the 70s and 80s are using those great, albeit worn, books. I have a copy of that hymnal on our breakfast table, and generally try to croak out at least one hymn each morning during my personal devotions. In my latest book, "Average Guy Meets Extraordinary God," from Northeastern Baptist Press, I speak of those precious experiences. I love the new copy, and only regret that, at 86, I have difficulty reading the lyrics because you have reduced the font sizes. Apart from that, I'm blessed.
