Looks nothing like picture

I was so excited about receiving this fabric! Unfortunately, the photos are not at all representative of what I received, which is dull and dark, with almost no gold metallic color and very little shine. I had to verify that I received the correct item -- it looks so different and is so disappointing. Perhaps under bright lighting, it looks more like the picture, but in normal indoor light, it is just dark and dull. I wish I could attach a photo. I know, caveat emptor, should have gotten a swatch.
