It is functional. Keeps brushes safe and dust free. I didn’t use the beads that came with it. To give you an idea about height the tallest brush is the Smashbox cream blush brush and the next tallest is Sonia G Face 1 buffer. Wish it was less plain and more lux hence given 4 stars.
