Not as advertised

This Triplett part number goes back to at least the 70’s and maybe even earlier. I bought this to go with an old model 310 meter — as per its instruction manual. But the probe handles are too long and the negative probe tip is not threaded. Apparently Triplett is just banking on its past popularity hoping that a “sort of” replacement is good enough. Not happy.
