This was wonderful. After I finished this I went to go read Epictetus immediately.

What I found the most beneficial was how he understood the situation and sought to utilize Stoicism without mentioning it to other prisoners. He knew that it would not be received in the moment, but created a unifying mantra of BACK US. Also how when he went to the ropes he whispered a chant control guilt, control fear. Powerful short pamphlet.
