Amarelli Liquorice Powder from Calabria, Italy

Excellent quality and liquorice flavor

Used for liquorice liqueur. Turned out great, family favorite. I will purchase again.

Used it in the salmon recipe

This added a lovely depth and complexity to the dish with only a hint of liqorice at the end. Great to have in the cupboard. I'm wondering what it will add to chocolate brownies.

Very good flavour

Dissolves well, even in cold water. Just a pity there is not a hint of proportion of the liquorice to the sugars it’s mixed with. It makes guesswork necessary when cooking as the sugar in recipes has to be altered to compensate for the sugar in the powder. Other than that, a good product at a sensible price.
