Plastic Backing on Stainless - Thin & Lightweight

I was expecting solid stainless plugs (to replace the ones we lost). These are really thin stainless with a plastic backing on the underside & a thin plasticky seal - not rubber. I suspect I could bend them if I tried. I suspect they will do the job, but not sure how long they will last.
