The stone stays a ruby or garnet color. And has kind of a haze to its color. Other than that its a nice piece

Alexandrite Pendant 14K 3.25 cttw

Love the stone itself and the checkered cut really sets off the color play and light throughout. Also like the solid 14K setting and tiny little diamond. Didn't care for a sterling chain. Wish I could just buy pendant alone or pay a little more for solid 14K chain.
