Just right
I can't comment on how they'll grow because we haven't planted them yet, but delivery was quick. These were a reward for a young student who loves all things ww1 and ww2 and I can't tell you how pleased he was to find Flanders poppies and not just the regular ones. Thanks so much!

unfortunately deer like the buds
I dug up a part of the boulevard and planted a big patch of poppies. I water and feed them and they are coming on wonderfully. I live in downtown Victoria, but there are still lots of deer and they seem to love the buds, so even though I have a protective plastic mesh over the patch, haven't seen any flowers yet, cause as the buds head skyward, the deer bite them off. So many buds coming now that I'm hoping the deer will get sick of the taste of poppy buds (and I"m sure they must get a little stoned on them)..
