growing in the winter
Beginning of March I have Basil 3-4" tall and I did harvest about 20 cherry tomatoes last month. Basil and Tomato are perennial so you can grow them continuously under the right conditions. Good fertilizer helps with flavor.

Set aside for 2022
I am so pleased to say that I have only waited 4 months for a knee replacement, however that means that I am not gardening this year. Get back to me next year as I have my seeds in a dry, cool location.

Perfect
In the winter I grow the basil in a hydroponic garden. The seeds sprout quickly and in no time at all I have fresh basil. In the spring I also plant outside.
