Overall disappointing, but…
I purchased the Tour Coat for my wife, who works as a dive master on a boat out of South Florida. The price seemed unbeatable, considering that jackets of this quality usually run around $200 or more. So, at $129, I figured it was a great deal. Now I know why it's priced so low—it seems like Jet Pilot made a sizing mistake and is trying to offload their inventory. I ordered a small for my wife, but the sizing is way off. The torso length was fine, maybe a bit long, but the arms and shoulders? It’s like they designed those for someone who wears an XXL. I tried the jacket on myself, and it actually fit me in the shoulders and arms—I'm 5'11", 240 pounds, and normally wear XXL. My wife? Not so much. We’re now stuck deciding whether to return it, which means losing out on shipping fees both ways, or to keep it and get it altered. Unfortunately, Jet Pilot doesn't cover return shipping in their weak return policy, so we’d be out about $40 just to send it back. We’ve decided to keep the jacket and pay a seamstress to cut off 25% of the sleeve length and hopefully fix the fit. The quality of the material is excellent, and the liner is cozy, so there is a silver lining. But beware of the sizing issues. If you have a good tailor, it might be worth the effort. The price makes it tempting, but Jet Pilot really dropped the ball on this one. Overall, a disappointing experience..
