Higher Protein Brown Rice - 25 lb

Not as high quality a brown rice as the white rice, but cooks up nicely and tastes great

Some milling issues, so this lot was higher in broken grains, excess chaff and unmilled paddy rice in my 25lb bag means the miller must do better. Extra washing takes care of the problem and the rice cooks up very nicely. I prefer a long 45 minute soak in warm water prior to cooking on a brown rice setting using a pressure induction rice cooker.

I don’t normally like brown rice but this one, kinda tastes like wild rice which really isn’t rice. It has had nutty type of flavor. Much better than a basmati (which I don’t like) this rice also has a different texture it is more expensive I suggest like I did buy a small bag to try first. After trying I bought the large 25lb bag. This is less expensive than wild rice . Have asian wife so eat a lot of rice. to me the flavor was the reason I bought not the added health benefits. I had no idea they grew rice in Illinois I got a tshirt for my wife to send pic to her relatives we grew rice here also not just California
