Bought a pair to upgrade a matched set of fretted/fretless MTD Kingston ZX-5's. OEM black nickel (smoked chrome?) hardware began loosing it's gray overtone/ rubbing back to a bright chrome, looking wonky, and always was prone to prints/marks that are hard to buff and keep clean, for some odd reason. These Hipshot B's are easily installed and set up,. Solid workmanship and match up well with the Hipshot ultralight tuners I replaced at the same time. Just ups the look and feel of these instruments. Not a lot to say about the tonality, other than my confirmation bias in thinking they're as close to sounding like a handmade MTD as I can get them to look and sound now! Great value for money and very easy to install and setup. A quick release bridge is the best for steing changes!
