Nice as street shoe, but small

I found them different than a traditional driver - I think of a driver as very soft, form fitting, and very flexible - to allow for foot movement when driving, and tactile feedback. To the extent that there is the compromise of a bit of a street shoe sole, it's typically just enough to allow you to pop into the shop for milk without having to change your shoes. These shoes I found more structured, - thicker leather, multilayered, with a rather stiffer sole - much more like a street shoe than a driver. They also seemed to run quite small - I comfortably wear a 6 in the Apsley loafer, but needed a 7 to wear these. You might consider ordering two sizes if you're trying them for the first time. Oddly, they also seemed a bit wider than the Apsley, and that's an unusual combination - to be both shorter and wider. If you want a street shoe that *looks* like a driver, then these will make you happy - they're well made, with a classic look, and are sturdy enough to last quite a while. Sadly, I was looking for an actual driver, so I had to return them.

I’m loving this loafer. Very comfortable, the padded insole makes this loafer so comfortable for walking. The shiny gold bit hardware detail on this loafer beautiful and a nice addition to this shoe. It is a very dark Navy and I’m loving it.
