Horse Pasture Grass Seed Mix - Warm Climate

The best seed for southern loamy soil!

I love this seed mix!!! I cannot tell you how difficult it’s been to find grass mix that actually grows in my loamy soil. Until now! It’s been a little over a month since I broadcast spread the seed. The grass mix is really taking off and has covered all the spots that were sandy and bare in my horse pasture. We’ve had wicked hot weather with afternoon storms the last week and I am so excited to see all the grass coming in and holding down that soil while giving my horses plenty of healthy grass to eat. The hotter it gets the more this grass seems to thrive. Thank you!

So far so good

Just planted the mixture 2 weeks ago and used a broadcast spreader after using a tiller and then cultipacker. Already have some growth after a couple days of rain. I presume it’s the millet coming up first as a cover crop but nice to see some green in the pasture. Will give a follow-up review later in the year after the rest of the grass comes up. I live in coastal Mississippi so this warm weather mix should be good. Put down lime in the fall and tilled it in first. Shipping was timely and delivered on a pallet to the farm. No complaints thus far.
