This is great stuff. I use both black and white on classic steelhead flies that use hair wings. Waxing the thread really helps to grab the hair. I can get a really neat, small head on the flies.

Semperfli Nano Silk has been a Midge game changer

Every once in a while a product changes my fishing or tying, nano silk is one of those. As a committed small fly guy, midges are critical. A quality midge nymph should usually be slim and sparse in the body. Nano silk down to 24/0 does that extremely well and is incredibly strong for it’s diameter, spins flats, and is durable/tough. The dark colors (black-brown) are most consistent to repeatability of flies, the light color (I.e. Olive) dying within each spool can be a little inconsistent into the inner 50% but can be lived with generally. Like most tying products this will eventually no longer be available over time so I may need to stock up!
