Having spent over 50 years tying flies with the trout of the Greater Yellowstone Region as my target, I’m the first to recognize that the functionality if the design of the hook and its finish can make the hook the unsung hero every time fur, hair, or synthetic materials are trapped against a shank by thread! The Gamakatsu B10S has established constant presence at my tying desk and is one of the very best hooks I’ve ever used. Not only do they make all the difference during the tying, but they perform extremely well when holding a fighting trophy brown trout in the heaviest of river currents.
