I enjoy all CnF tools and this is no exception. The needle is well made and strong. The only minus is that the taper could be a bit more gradual. This would make dilating the fly line easier. As long as you hit it from both sides multiple times it’s fine. I used mine to tie a snell knot which I find easier to the nail knot. The needle makes a fantastic brace for the fly line.

I own several of these. I have one in my vest along with an extra leader. I have one in my fishing tool box. I have spare ones in my fly tying room at home. I use it to attach fly line to backing and leader to fly line.
