Great quality glove, odd fitting thumb

I’m working through trying out different brands for my goalkeeper academy and had several suggestions for Set GK. Inventory was really low so I didn’t have much selection to choose from in my size. Upon getting the glove they fit great on the main part of the hand. The thumb on the other hand was confusing. There was (easily 1/2 inch on the left and 1 inch on the right) a lot of excess on the thumb. I have had gloves with roomier or looser thumbs. This was a first. I have never had finger that were too long. I wear 11s in most brands, like my gloves snug fitting anyway. It was suggested by a brand rep to get a 12. It ended up being perfect on the four fingers. Thumb not so much. Disappointed due to what I have heard about Set GK. Quality and production of the glove was great and definitely showed itself to be a great product. Personally, the fit didn’t work for me. Going down to an 11 would make the hand too small, just to accommodate the fitting of the thumb…that doesn’t make sense. I’ll come back to Set Gk in a bit when they get more inventory and maybe try another pair. Maybe I just got a bad pair. Who knows.
