Bought these for cutting hollow core then tried them out for trimming hollow core when making dual wall wind on leaders. Since the inner & outer wall seldom align exactly at the transition to fluoro or mono these help to easily cut away the longer leg (usually the inner). Done carefully you can cut free your long side & slide it down the leader till you finish & remove ldr from your jig. If you need something even more delicate try hackle trimming scissors from your fly kit but these work plenty well for my needs. Handy little tool dedicated to cutting braid only
