Marley's Ghost The ghost of Scrooge's old partner, Jacob Marley, haunts him on Christmas Eve in an attempt to save his old friend from his fate. Bearing the chains forged by years of greed and selfishness in life, Marley explains to Scrooge the error of his ways and tells him that three spirits will haunt him to help save his soul.
