Long delivery time

I’ve paid 11 GBP for a shipment to Germany which took 7 working days. The customer service argued that the delay was caused by the customs procedure, however I’ve seen that it has been sent to Germany via France and not directly. Also the committed transit time was 2-5 days. If I pay so much for the delivery I can expect better service.
