Shower great…toilet ok

So first, I bought this chair because my handycapped husband required both a chair which allowed him to be placed over the toilet and then could go directly into the shower. As a shower chair it is great but over the toilet not so great. First it is not split in the front making it pretty much impossible for wiping. I ordered the soft rubber cover because it hurt my husband where his bed sores are. The soft rubber cover does have a split in the front…just not sure why the actual chair does not. Very confounding. I was mostly disappointed because the chair is very costly especially if you compare it to other chairs on the market which do the same things. I bought it anyway, because it looked easy to use. So when you care for a completely unambulatory person and a costly chair does not work the way it should, it creates a situation whereby two transfers have to happen. That is not great as moving a heavy stiff human is not fun. I am not that impressed with the chair. Therefore the four star is generous in my estimation.
