I haven't run it yet, but will soon. After a couple of attempts to tighten it down, I realized that the factory portion of the carb that the filter attaches to is tapered, so if you put too much tension on the hose clamp it will pop off and you need to start over. Just a learning mistake, but still seems secure.
The top, back of the filter does come into contact with the plastic cover, blocking any air intake, but the factory filter is also solid in the same area, so not really sure if it will make much difference.
Now I can wash and reuse as needed.

Excellent quality, as always
Absolutely satisfied with this air cleaner system for my Stihl MS 462. The quality is excellent, it fits perfectly and the installation is very straightforward. Everything feels well made and built for professional use.
