Aerial Nonsense provides products and service of an incredibly high standard. Product: A few weeks ago, my duos partner and I purchased a 96cm solid lyra, paired with a spin rigging kit. Both items arrived in excellent condition, being thoroughly packaged and clearly labelled with all necessary safety and load certificates. The lyra has a noticeably smaller grip size than others we’ve used, which initially raised some concerns regarding grip and stability. After using the lyra, in duos, individual, spin and dynamic capacities, we’ve found it to be very secure and surprisingly comfortable. When we train on other hoops, we find ourselves missing this one. The quality of the lyra is also outstanding. The weld point is seamlessly integrated, marked by a small notch inside the lyra, leaving the surface smooth and uniform. This makes taping quick and easy. Being solid, it is a bit heavy when carried, but is manageable when carried over the shoulder (by adults and teenagers alike), and fits comfortably into the back seat or boot of a car. The extra weight allows the lyra to stay well centred on its axis, as well as yielding longer spins than other hoops we’ve tried, despite the initial speed of the spin or the presence of dynamic tricks throughout. The spin rigging kit is also great. The 1 metre spanset has turned out to be an awesome length, and is soft and comfortable in top bar tricks, as well as being extremely durable and reliable for dynamics and duos work. A feature we love is the spanset’s dedicated pocket for its safety label, which this keeps it protected during tricks that might otherwise damage it, which has been an issue for us in the past. Service: To top off our experience, the customer service we received was outstanding. We needed a rush order, so we emailed Aerial Nonsense directly on a Sunday afternoon, and Ash responded within a few hours. She went above and beyond to help us, sending purchase details and safety certificates ahead of time, and ensuring our lyra was ready to pickup the next day, making sure to ship it the day after when pickup became impractical for us. Throughout the entire process, she stayed informative, professional, and accommodating. Overall: When it comes time for us to purchase more aerial equipment, we will definitely be doing so through Aerial Nonsense, and we highly recommend them to any aerialists looking to purchase equipment.
