These work great for finer mesh feeders where medium chips are too coarse. The woodpeckers (Downy, Hairy, Yellow Bellied Spasuckers and even Flickers) love them, as well as finches and nuthatches.

I was pleased with the prompt service once again. We love these Hulled Fine Sunflower Chips almost as much as the birds do. At first we were thinking they were going to prove to be far too expensive to change over to from seeds with shells but, in the end, they are an all round better value. We use a Bird Seed Catcher Tray under our feeder. In the past we found the bottom section would often be filled with a pile of uneaten/unused seeds mess if it rained it would be much worse. now we find that there is basically next to zero waste as well as no sloppy mess. Cleanup is a breeze and we know there is far less chance of diseases that are spread from birds foraging in the mess below a feeder. A complete Win ~ Win for the birds and us.
