Although we have not yet had the opportunity to use our new wood splitter, we were extremely impressed with the quality of the packaging. The item arrived in a seriously fortified crate made of wood and reinforced by a metal frame. High quality materials to ensure that the splitter arrived in perfect condition. My husband set to work assembling it and remarked that the instructions were clear and straightforward. Now that we have it assembled, we are looking forward to gathering some wood to give it a try!

I have split red oak,white oak and walnut without any issues, even the knotty stuff . The 4 way attachment works great. This splitter is a bargain for the homeowner.
