I don't really know if using this before No 3 did anything or not. I do know that I did not like the smell of this. Also the instructions require you to spray on dry hair. I was only able to get 2 uses out of this bottle. Also the spray on the bottle makes it hard to saturate the hair. A lot of the product ended up spraying on the floor or the wall behind me. I wouldn't buy this again.
