I'm a reasonably experienced turner, but not so much involving hollowing. There's a learning curve. Speed, height of tool rest, tool contact position on the rest... This tool makes it as easy as it can be. Simple assembled a great custom package of various tools/handle for me. Shipped it same day.

Mid Size Swan neck hollower not quite flat

I got lots of chatter and catches when using it. The tool resting surface going from the bend to the straight section is not flat and is difficult to position accurately when starting at the opening of the vessel. Even using a feather light touch was not sufficient to control the tool. I thought my technique was faulty so got advice from a professional turner. He said to throw the tool away. I am going to flatten the surface on a grinder before doing that. I have loved the other lathe tools I have gotten from this company. I am sure this is a fluke in production.

Building my carbides for now and future
