Our house has seven exposed beams. Weather and some termite damage had taken its toll. Our painter did a pretty remarkable job of patching the beams. But I wanted some additional protection so I ordered the shallow beam caps. They fit great and I expect they will help keep the beams better protected until we replace. The look good and are really a very affordable way to provide some additional protection to our home. Very pleased!
