I am so glad that I found this chair. I sit like a goblin all day and I just knew I won't have functional knees in five years if I kept doing it. So now I can sit all over the chair like a happy goblin. There was a mix-up when it was shipped. I ended up getting the wrong chair. The support team was super quick to respond and get it sorted out. :) I did have a few issues constructing the chair though. There's no way some of those pegs could fit into those holes (teehee). But in all seriousness, I did have to take a Dremel and make some a little wider. Also, I do recommend watching the video and following along. Its far better than the paper instructions. I had to put it upside-down on my ottoman, which turned out to be a very important position. Something that was lacking a bit from the instructions. I'm not going to lie; this did take me 3 hours to accomplish. And I had to take a frustration break in the middle. But that's when I turned to the video. Seriously, it will save you some time and some mean words said to your best friend. But I do honestly love this chair. Don't let my incompetence deter you from getting it. It truly has become my favorite chair. My knees don't hurt at the end of the day anymore. My posture has certainly improved. It's helped me move around more during the day. I'm not just planted in one position. The materials are all nice and stuff as well. But yeah, enjoy this chair.

Over the years, I've gained experience with different types of alternative office chairs, including a no-name wobble stool, the Focal Pivot, Sitmatic Pogo, and Capisco. I'm currently typing this while "sitting" on the ThatsIt Balans. I have only had it for a few days and the back tension knob was defective (but Phil Zen took care of it). Think of this as more of a first impressions rather than a long term review. Assembly was quick and easy, taking only 15 minutes. Two things are immediately clear: the chair rocks smoothly and there is no friction in keeping it in constant motion. The balance point for the forward kneeling position is more forward than I thought, but that's not a problem. It just means I'll need to spend some time finding the right knee pad settings. The chair's rear balance position lacks stability, meaning that even a slight forward weight shift while in the fully reclined position will cause it to rock forward. I believe that individual body morphology will cause this behavior to differ for each user. As someone with longer legs compared to my torso, I'd like it if the recline position could be maintained more easily, allowing me to put my feet up on the kneepads or even sit in a semi-cross-legged position. This feature would significantly increase the number of comfortable sitting positions for this chair. Initial testing of lower leg floor protection pads suggests that it is possible while maintaining the frictionless rocking, and I'm excited about the potential of this enhancement. The cloth covering seems durable and easily replaceable with zipper removal, while the flex of the primary construction material adds to its movement friendly nature. The seat and backrest are both well padded offering plenty of comfort for my 160lb frame. Among all the chairs I've tested, this one seems to fulfill the most requirements for me, it is definitely the loveliest to look at :)

The chair is nice but the knee pads are a little too close to the seat for my liking. Other than that it is very comfy.
